On an open problem in rectangular b-metric space. (English) Zbl 06750546
Summary: In this paper an analogue of Banach contraction principle theorem is proved in rectangular b-metric spaces. Our results provide a complete solution to an open problem raised by George et al. (J. Nonlinear Sci. Appl. 8:1005-1013, 2015).
