Summary: In this article, we prove the existence of common fixed points for isotone increasing mappings in ordered \(b\)-metric spaces. Our results unite and improve the recent remarkable results established by J. R. Roshan et al. [ibid. 7, No. 4, 229–245 (2014; Zbl 1392.54035)] under much more general conditions and with shorter proofs. An example is given to show the superiority of our genuine generalization.
