In this short paper, the authors note “that the modified version of {\(\alpha\)}-{\(\psi\)}-contractive mappings, suggested by P. Salimi et al. [Fixed Point Theory Appl. 2013, Article ID 151, 19 p. (2013; Zbl 1293.54036)], is not a real generalization” of the notions set forth in [E. Karapınar and B. Samet, Abstr. Appl. Anal. 2012, Article ID 793486, 17 p. (2012; Zbl 1252.54037)] and [B.
