Existence of positive solutions for fourth-order boundary value problems with sign-changing nonlinear terms. (English) Zbl 1291.34049

Summary: The existence of positive solutions for a fourth-order boundary value problem with a sign-changing nonlinear term is investigated. By using Krasnoselskii’s fixed point theorem, sufficient conditions that guarantee the existence of at least one positive solution are obtained. An example is presented to illustrate the application of our main results.
