Two-dimensional Riemann problems for Chaplygin gas. (English) Zbl 1257.35126
It is shown that the Riemann problem admits solution for the potential flow, provided the states in three sectors are close enough. The global wave structure is studied, and the Lax’s theorem on the 1-dimensional Riemann problem is extended to the 2-dimensional case for Chaplygin gas. It is a well written paper and should be of interest to people working on multi-dimensional Riemann problem.
