Homogenization of fronts in highly heterogeneous media. (English) Zbl 1228.35026
The paper discusses the evolution by mean curvature modeled by means of a periodic forcing term (mimicking the role of the heterogeneity), with large \(L^\infty\)-norm and zero average. The authors prove the homogenization limit and derive the structure and some of the properties of the effective velocity.
