An oscillation criterion for nonhomogeneous half-linear differential equations. (English) Zbl 1023.34029

Summary: By means of a classical inequality and an averaging technique, the authors obtain an oscillation criterion for nonhomogeneous half-linear differential equations. This result is much more general than a recent result of J. S. W. Wong [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 231, 235-270 (1999; Zbl 0922.34029)] and makes use of the oscillatory behavior of the forcing terms on intervals.
