The system \(y'(t)= Ay(t)+ By(qt)+ Cy'(qt)\), \(y(0)= y_ 0\) is studied by means of multistep methods, where \(A\), \(B\), \(C\) are \(d\times d\) matrices, \(q\in (0,1)\) is a given number. For the scalar equation and \(q= 1/2\) stability conditions are given.
