About us
A Scholarus Learning Company. Our mission is to shape a more equitable and just future by changing how people design for each student’s potential. We are a team of seasoned educators, designers, technologists and change management experts with a proven track record in our work with districts. We take the time to understand the unique challenges school leaders face, and then customize the Education Elements approach for each district. We approach each client interaction with the mindset that while we can share what has worked elsewhere, we must seek to understand the current culture and context of each district and school. We honor the goals, priorities, and vision of every leader with whom we work, and we help them to hone, articulate, and make those visions a reality. We bring deep expertise, design thinking, expert facilitation and the spirit of collaboration, along with our extensive toolkit of resources and technology, to deliver sustainable results. We are passionate and love what we do. We do not think of the work we do as a series of projects, but instead as the building of partnerships and friendships. We measure our success by the success of the districts we support. We want all students to reach their fullest potential. We want all teachers to love to teach. From a single school in 2010 to over 500 today, we are driven by bold leaders, amazing teachers, and the students we serve together. We are so grateful to have the chance to work with so many districts and look forward to many years of working with many more. Interested in transforming your district? We are excited and ready to work with you!

How does the data your district collects support your strategic initiatives? Many schools collect huge amounts of data about student performance each year, but often that data only offers a limited view and doesn't provide leaders with the information they need to make the best decisions for their teachers and students. Join our upcoming webinar on October 1st featuring a panel of education leaders and experts who will share actionable aproaches for monitoring progress to maximize return on investment, implement initiatives, improve schools, and support strategic planning at both district and school levels. What does effective instructional leadership look like? While data-driven decisions and a collaborative culture are critical components, three education leaders emphasize the importance of being hands-on in classroom practices and building trust with their staff through vulnerability and personal accountability. Leaders must be deeply involved in the learning process to truly understand how instruction is delivered and which areas need improvement. Shifting from a top-down mindset to a more engaged, collaborative, and research-driven approach will help create an environment where teachers feel understood and have the resources they need to improve student learning outcomes. ✅ Read the full blog to learn more about how these leaders prioritized feedback loops, evidence-based practices, and fostering a culture of trust: https://lnkd.in/gSjgrKxU Featuring Superintendent Sean Bulson, Superintendent Jerry Boyd, Chief Academic Officer Portia Slaughter, Ed.D., and Leila Nuland, PhD #K12Education #InstructionalLeadership #CollaborativeInstruction #Edleadership #EvidenceBasedInstruction #TeacherRetention #ScienceofReading #LeadershipFeedback

To better prepare students for their #AsYetImagined futures, Fresno Unified School District implemented Personalized Learning Initiatives (PLI) to improve how technology was informing and supporting instruction. This work aimed to effectively prepare students for their futures navigating the changing world of work and life outside of school including knowledge, skills competency, social-emotional skills, and agency. Education Elements provided strategic support and professional development that invested in teacher agency to create a comprehensive and sustainable approach. The results were incredible with data showing that Personalized Learning Initiative (PLI) students achieved significant gains over non-PLI peers on state tests across multiple subjects. ➡️ Read the full case study to learn more about their journey: https://lnkd.in/gXscs6An #K12Leadership #InstructionalFramework #InnovativeInstruction #PersonalizedLearning #DistrictLeadership #InnovativeEducation #PersonalizedLearningInitiatives #SchoolLeadership #EducationalApproaches

Fresno Unified School District strategically embraced personalized learning as a pathway to better prepare students for future careers and "As Yet Imagined" opportunities, resulting in incredible gains for student readiness and achievement. Students who were in a PLI (Personalized Learning Innovations) classroom outscored their non-PLI peers in ELA and math assessments across several grades. Furthermore, the PLI students were more likely to meet and/or exceed grade-level standards on CAASPP (CA Assessment of Student Performance and Progress) in classrooms with a PLI teacher. To learn more about how they did it and the results they saw, read the full case study: https://hubs.ly/Q02MQVY60 #PersonalizedLearning #SchoolStrategy #DistrictLeadership #SchoolLeadership #InnovativeInstruction #CAASPP

How does your district value instructional coaches? This question sparked a crucial discussion today with assistant superintendents from two districts. Effective coaches are key to supporting teacher teams, fostering positive student outcomes, and retaining quality teachers. According to Harvard research, instructional coaching has a significant impact on instruction compared to various school-based interventions. Coaching surpasses student incentives, teacher training, merit-based pay, and other professional development strategies. In my experience observing Education Elements consultants, teachers highly value coaching for enhancing tier one instruction. Effective coaching not only boosts professional success but also nurtures a sense of value and achievement. Support from structures like coaching is essential for success, benefiting educators, students, and communities alike. If you require assistance in enhancing instructional practices or evaluating your coaching program's performance, the Ed Elements team offers expertise to help address your challenges effectively. Let's discuss the steps to drive success together. #InstructionalCoaching #K12Leadership #EdLeadership #TeacherSupport #StudentSuccess #ProfessionalDevelopment #EducationMatters #EdChat #SchoolImprovement #CoachingForSuccess
