Didier jest 40-letnim fanem muzyki disco. Mężczyzna nie ma pracy i nadal żyje ze swoją matką. Didier ma syna, którego od dawna nie widział, jednak matka jego syna nie zgadza się wysłać go do ojca na wakacje. Didier postanawia wygrać konkurs taneczny, by zdobyć pieniądze na niezapomniany wyjazd wakacyjny dla syna do Australii. Didier namawia swoich przyjaciół, by mu pomogli. Mężczyźni zatrudniają także trenera, który ma ich przygotować do rywalizacji. Wkrótce okazuje się, że mimo iż kiedyś byli sprawnymi tancerzami, czas odebrał im młodzieńcze zdolności. Average comedy with many added values. First - Emanuelle Béart, but that is an added value in every movie she appears in. Second - excellently chosen songs, old disco hits. Third - a couple of really successful punchlines. Fourth - the art of the French (similar to the Czechs) shooting themselves through the plot with a strike at the harbor. Fifth - Gérard Dépardieu as a failed circus performer is really great. Sixth - Frank Dubosc, although I don't find him very sympathetic, is ideally suited for this role, excellently complemented by Samuel Le Bihan. Seventh - why should all comedies with a musical touch take place only in attractive settings like Saint-Tropez, Cannes, Fréjus, and so on? Great praise to the creators for Le Havre, an industrial, unsung city where many people also want to have fun! Eighth - there is a good mood emanating from Disco, I can't help it.

Director Fabien Onteniente's Disco is a nostalgic look back at the legendary American musical Saturday Night Fever. The plot of this movie is easy to predict, but those who want to take a trip to the world of 70s and 80s discos will definitely enjoy it. So I had a pretty good time most of the time. Not to mention that it was nice to reminisce once again about the crazy dance creations that were in vogue at the time. (65%)
