Steven Butterfield says his success in his professional life, stems from his bachelor's and master's qualifications he gained during tertiary studies [1].


(Similarly to all other social networking sites, Flickr includes strong functionality to allow users to interact socially)

Through its features, Flickr allows for social interaction like other social networking sites[2]


(Verizon, its current owner via its Oath subsidiary, has sold Flickr to SmugMug, an even older, subscription-based photo sharing service, as reported first by USA Today’s Jessica Guynn.)

Flickr was merely based on a set of features broken out of the game, but it took over the company and his life.

Although Butterfield did not intend on making Flickr, he reused features out of his game, GameNeverEnding and developed it as the companies main focus[4]
