Here are the concerns I found with this article:

  • "He stands eighth in career free throws made (297), having only been passed by Craig Robinson and Kit Mueller." Well, those two would make him third, so it's confusing as written currently.
  • The amateur career section seems to trend towards the other players and coaches fairly often. Not overly concerning, but there are areas where it isn't needed (i.e. the second mention of McMillan's Lions)
    • Although McMillan is not widely-remembered now, he was one of the most successful Ivy League players of all-time both in college and as a pro. I believe he led Columbia to its only NCAA appearance. I think people should have perspective of which team we are talking about.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 16:12, 24 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • "but the 36–46 Bill Russell-coached 1973–74 SuperSonics would not" Not seeing any relevance to this article. Yes Hummer played for the Sonics later on, but I don't find this necessary.
  • "Hummer appeared in six of games, but accumulated no points" Six of what?
  • Anything on attempting to join another team after 1976, or a retirement?
    • I have no information on his career between 1976 and 1978 (when he presumably started his graduate program)

I'll put it on hold for five days and pass when the issues are fixed. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 05:23, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Looks good now, so the article passes. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 17:14, 24 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

John was president of Niederhoffer, Cross and Zeckhauser. There's a Google Books hit, perhaps to a Princeton alumni publication, confirming this. I know (original research) that this was in fact his first finance industry job. His second and first VC job was working for Pitch Johnson, but I can't find enough details to warrant Wikipedia inclusion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.93.238.18 (talk) 06:22, 1 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
