Query the claim on the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain page that first ascent is by an American in 1987. The following link suggests that the mountain was climbed by a Chinese group at least as early as 1963

Thanks for pointing out that website. However I wouldn't classify a general travel website as a reliable source, so I'm not inclined to change the article. Also, the mountain has many sub-summits, one of which may be what was perhaps climbed in 1963. However, if a more reliable source can be found documenting an ascent of the main summit earlier than 1987 (which is quite possible---the history of this peak is not as clear as for most peaks), then by all means put it in. -- Spireguy (talk) 17:06, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
