About me

edit

I am a public historian currently based in Daytona Beach, Florida, but I grew up in the Midwest.

I have a graduate degree in history from Indiana University and began editing Wikipedia articles in 2012 while working in Indianapolis, Indiana. I have contributed to several WikiProjects, including WP:GLAM/IHS. I primarily edit Wiki articles related to U.S. history.

I'm a fan of well-written biographies, short stories, and historical fiction. I am also passionate about preserving historic places around the world.

Declaration of Interest

edit

From 2012 to 2020 I was the Indiana Historical Society’s editor of Wikipedia and research and supported Wikipedia on a full-time basis by improving existing and creating new content on English Wikipedia as part of the WP:GLAM/IHS project. My project tasks included reviewing, writing, and editing Wikipedia content; requesting digitization of IHS resources to assist Wikimedians with research; participating in Wikipedia and WP:GLAM initiatives to encourage collaboration; hosting GLAM/IHS events; and tracking GLAM/IHS outcomes.

Wikipedia contributions made under this username, including edits to Wikipedia articles and uploads of other media, are mine alone and do not necessarily reflect the views and opinions of the Indiana Historical Society.
