Returning user to StackExchange.

I'm a senior computer engineer that specializes in power electronics and embedded systems. I work on data acquisition systems for seismic and surveying equipment. I used to be a hardware engineer for computer and server companies.

In my spare time, I play video games (by myself or with my wife), drink tea, listen to jazz, read books, or go out for a walk with our two pugs. I also have a Masters in Data Science.

I have a fascination for space and space technology, microbiology, and medical robotics and nanotechnology, and AI (as everyone else does, I guess, but I enjoy understanding the process of how it learns).

My grandfather worked for NASA during the latter of Gemini and the entirety of Apollo. He worked on the flight navigational systems for the space shuttles. Once he retired from NASA, he worked for Boeing for a few years before officially retiring in his career. Even though he's passed away, he's still my role model. Much like how he helped put humanity on the moon, I want to follow his footsteps one day to help put humanity on Mars. Don't worry, Grandpa! I'll be sending things your way someday. Ad astra!
