Ugo Didier (born 11 September 2001) is a French Paralympic swimmer. He represented France at the 2020 and 2024 Summer Paralympics.
Career
[edit]Didier made his international debut for France at the 2017 World Para Swimming Championships at the age of 14.[2]
He represented France at the 2020 Summer Paralympics and won a silver medal in the 400 metre freestyle S9 event, and a bronze medal in the 200 metre individual medley SM9 event.[3][4]
He again represented France at the 2024 Summer Paralympics and won a gold medal in the 400 metre freestyle S9 event, France's first gold medal of the 2024 Paralympics.[5][6] He also won silver medals in the 400 metre freestyle S9 and 200 metre individual medley SM9 events.[7]
Personal life
[edit]Didier was born with club feet and weakness in both legs.[8] His younger brother, Lucas, is a para table tennis player for France.[9]
