Jacob Richards,[1] commonly known as Jake Richards, is a British Labour Party politician who has served as Member of Parliament for Rother Valley since 2024.[2][3]

Early life and education

Jacob Ben Richards[4] was born on 5 July. He was privately educated at Highgate School, a private fee-paying school in North London. He also attended Woodhouse College. He then read History at Somerville College, Oxford.[5] Following his undergraduate studies, he completed the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) at City, University of London.[6]

Personal life

He is the son of journalist and broadcaster Steve Richards.[7] He is engaged to the Sky News political correspondent Liz Bates, with whom he has a daughter.[8]
