Screaming yellow

[edit]

Was it just for the Iowa game? That might still justify saying the jersey was blue for the season. If that was the final straw in removing the picture for other reasons as well, being too poorly done or too large, then fair enough. Hard to convince myself they are wearing yellow in the team picture. Then again, I made the same mistake with Georgia Tech. Cake (talk) 02:51, 6 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@MisterCake: The yellow jerseys do not appear to have been isolated to the Iowa game. I am still researching the 1928 season, but an account of the Navy game (now included in the article) states that Michigan wore "bright yellow jerseys". Cbl62 (talk) 04:25, 6 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
So it appears the yellow jerseys were introduced for the Navy game, in order to distinguish the Michigan players from the Navy players who also wore blue jerseys. The yellow jerseys were also used against Iowa. I have not been able to determine which jerseys were used for the intervening game against Michigan State. Cbl62 (talk) 12:22, 6 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
