Enex Technologies is an Italian multinational company involved in the development of energy-efficient technologies for commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems.[1][2][3][4][5] The company focuses on the use of natural refrigerants, including ammonia (R717), carbon dioxide (CO₂ or R744), propane (R290), and water (R718).[6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14]

History

[edit]

Founded in 2022 by entrepreneur and former Carrier Corporation Executive Greg Deldicque,[15] Enex Technologies is the evolution of Enex, established in 2004 by Engineer Sergio Girotto and recognized for its early studies on the adoption of CO₂ as a natural refrigerant in commercial refrigeration systems.[16] This development contributed to a broader industry shift towards reducing the environmental impact of refrigerants, which were traditionally associated with higher levels of greenhouse gas emissions.[17]

As of 2024, François Audo was appointed CEO of the company.[18]

Industry recognition

[edit]

In 2024, Enex Technologies is scheduled to participate in Harvard Climate Action Week, being the only Italian company represented at the event.[19]
