- Els tunumiit són un grup inuit de Groenlàndia de Tunu, la part oriental de Groenlàndia. Els tunummiit actualment viuen principalment a Tasiilaq i Ittoqqortoormiit i formen part dels pobles àrtics coneguts col·lectivament com a Inuit. El singular per Tunumiit és Tunumiu. Els groenlandesos del nord i oest s'anomenen a si mateixos i kalaallit, respectivament. Entre el 80% i el 88% de la població de Groemlàdia, o aproximadament de 44,000 a 50,000 persones s'identifiquen com a inuit. (ca)

Die Tunumiit kamen erst um das Jahr 1884 mit Europäern in Kontakt und konnten die traditionelle Kultur der Grönländer bislang am besten bewahren. Heute wohnen sie in den Distrikten Tasiilaq und Ittoqqortoormiit. Aufgrund ihrer Vorgeschichte gleicht ihr Dialekt dem Idiom im kanadischen Nunavut. (de)

Besides the Tunumiit, who live in the eastern portion of Greenland, Northern and Western Greenlanders are called Inughuit and Kalaallit, respectively. Для традиционных религиозных верований типичны вера в добрых и вредоносных духов, почитание косатки — покровителя морской охоты и главного персонажа космогонических преданий — Ворона.
