- الغائب الحاضر هو مصطلح يطلق على الفلسطينيين الذين طردتهم العصابات الصهيونية على الفرار من منازلهم خوفا من الموت وهتك الأعراض الذي كانت تقوم به العصابات الصهيونية في فلسطين قبل وخلال حرب 1948 ولكنهم بقوا داخل فلسطين في الأراضي التي أقامت عليها المنظمة الصهيونية دولة إسرائيل، ويشار أيضا إلى هؤلاء الفلسطينيين بالإضافة إلى مصطلح الغائب الحاضر بنازحي الداخل، وهذا المصطلح ينطبق أيضا على أبناء وأحفاد الفلسطيني الذي نزح داخليا ، وفي عام 1950 كان تعدادهم 46000 نازح من أصل 156000 فلسطيني ظلوا داخل إسرائيل. لا يسمح للغائبين الحاضرين بالعيش في منازلهم التي طردوا منها، حتى وإن كانوا يعيشون في نفس المنطقة ولا يزال موجود لديهم عقد الملكية الذي يثبت بأنهم أصحاب تلك المنازل والأراضي التي طردوا منها، حيث تعتبر الحكومة الإسرائيلية منازل وأراضي الحاضرين الغائبين من ممتلكات الغائبين بحجة أنهم تركوها، حتى وإن لم يكونوا ينوون تركها لأكثر من بضعة أيام وأنهم فعلوا ذلك رغما عنهم وليس بإرادتهم واختيارهم. Este término se aplica también a los descendientes de estos desplazados internos. En 1950, de un total de 156.000 ciudadanos de Israel de origen palestino, unos 46.000 estaban catalogados de presentes ausentes. Según los cálculos de la ONG palestina BADIL, en 2015 había 384.200 desplazados internos en Israel y otros 334.600 en Palestina. Los presentes ausentes no pueden vivir en las casas en las que habían vivido hasta el inicio de las hostilidades, incluso aunque sigan viviendo en la misma zona y puedan demostrar que son sus dueños. The term applies also to the descendants of the original IDPs. In 1950, 46,000 out of the 156,000 Israeli Arabs in Israel were considered Present absentees. According to 2015 estimates from Palestinian NGO BADIL, there are 384,200 IDPs in Israel and 334,600 IDPs in the Palestinian territories. IDPs are not permitted to live in the homes they formerly lived in, even if they were in the same area, the property still exists, and they can show that they own it. They are regarded as absent by the Israeli government because they were absent from their homes on a particular day, even if they did not intend to leave them for more than a few days, and even if they left involuntarily.
