It falls within the parliamentary constituency of Cardiff Central. It is bounded by the electoral wards of Cyncoed (Roath Park) to the north; Penylan to the northeast; Adamsdown (main Newport Road) to the southwest; and Cathays (Cardiff to Caerphilly railway) to the west.
