- El Ministerio Secretaría General de la Presidencia (MINSEGPRES - SEGPRES) es uno de los ministerio de Estado de Chile. La finalidad de quien asume el cargo de ministro Secretario General de la Presidencia es brindar soporte, consejos y ayuda al presidente de la República y sus restantes ministros de Estado en las relaciones del Gobierno (poder ejecutivo) con el Congreso Nacional (poder legislativo) —sirviendo como enclave entre los dos poderes—, y seguir el curso de los proyectos de ley que se encuentren en trámite. La ministra titular es la abogada Ana Lya Uriarte y la subsecretaria respectiva es Macarena Lobos Palacios, actuando bajo el gobierno de Gabriel Boric. Fue creado en agosto de 1990 bajo la ley n° 18.993 del gobierno del presidente Patricio Aylwin, teniendo su antecedente previo en el cargo de Jefe de Estado Mayor Presidencial, creado a mediados de 1974 por el general Augusto Pinochet y que virtualmente era equiparable a un ministro de Estado. - The Ministry General Secretariat of the Presidency (Spanish: Ministerio Secretaría General de la Presidencia) is the cabinet-level administrative office (equivalent to the president's Chief of Staff) which serves in an advisory role to the President of Chile and her or his ministers in the governments' relations with the National Congress of Chile, the development of the legislative agenda, and keeping track of the bills and other legislative activity in Congress as they pertain to the government. The ministry was created in 1990 during the government of Patricio Aylwin, and the first appointee and longest-serving Minister so far was Edgardo Boeninger Kausel. The Minister Secretary-General of the Presidency is Ana Lya Uriarte, who was appointed by President Gabriel Boric on 6 September 2022. (en)
