- Noruega participará en la edición del Festival de la Canción de Eurovisión 2010, tras ganar el Festival de la Canción de Eurovisión 2009 con Alexander Rybak y su canción Fairytale con 387 puntos. Debido a esto, el país será el anfitrión del festival. El festival ha sido previsto inicialmente para la semana del 24 al 30 de mayo de 2010. Estas fechas serán cambiadas posiblemente al coincidir con la final de la UEFA Champions League, el mismo sábado. Será celebrado probablemente en Oslo, capital de Noruega, aunque hay otras ciudades que se perfilan también como sedes, como por ejemplo Bergen(sede en 1986), Lillehammer, sede del Festival de Eurovisión Infantil 2004, Hamar, Trondheim, Stavanger y Tromsø. - Norway participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song "My Heart Is Yours" written by Hanne Sørvaag and Fredrik Kempe. The song was performed by Didrik Solli-Tangen. In addition to participating in the contest, the Norwegian broadcaster Norsk rikskringkasting (NRK) also hosted the Eurovision Song Contest after winning the competition in 2009 with the song "Fairytale" performed by Alexander Rybak. NRK organised the national final Melodi Grand Prix 2010 in order to select the Norwegian entry for the 2010 contest in Oslo. "My Heart Is Yours" performed by Didrik Solli-Tangen was selected as the winner following a five-week-long competition consisting of three semi-finals, a Last Chance round and the final. As the host country, Norway qualified to compete directly in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest. Performing in position 3 during the final, Norway placed twentieth out of the 25 participating countries with 35 points. (en)

Com esta participação, a Noruega realiza a sua quadragésima nona participação no Festival Eurovisão da Canção. Para eleger o seu representante, a Noruega continuará a utilizar os seus já famosos Melodi Grand Prix, com várias semi-finais, uma segunda chance e uma grande final.
