- Ed Chynoweth Cup je trofej pro hokejové kluby, které vyhrají playoff juniorské hokejové ligy Western Hockey League. Původně byl od vzniku ligy v roce 1966 nazýván President's Cupem. Originally called the President's Cup when the league was founded in 1966, the trophy was renamed in 2007 to honour Ed Chynoweth's long service to junior hockey in Canada. The WHL champion earns a berth into the Memorial Cup tournament, Canada's major junior championship. The Kamloops Blazers have won the most championships with six, followed by the Medicine Hat Tigers with five. The Spokane Chiefs were the first team to win the renamed trophy in the 2007–08 WHL season. The current (2021-22) holders of the Ed Chynoweth Cup are the Edmonton Oil Kings. (en)

Bis 2007 hieß der Pokal, wie auch die gleichnamige Meistertrophäe in der QMJHL, President’s Cup (franz.: Coupe du Président), dann wurde er zu Ehren von in den heutigen Namen umbenannt. Zur Gründung der Liga wurde der Pokal 1967 zum ersten Mal ausgespielt, aktueller Titelträger sind die Swift Current Broncos. Le vainqueur accède à la coupe Memorial où il affronte les champions de la Ligue de hockey de l'Ontario et de la Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec, ainsi que l'équipe hôte du tournoi. Lors du tournoi 2007 de la coupe Memorial, la WHL annonce que la Coupe du Président sera renommée à compter de la saison 2007-2008 en coupe Ed-Chynoweth, en l'honneur d'Ed Chynoweth qui fut le président de la LHOu et de la Ligue canadienne de hockey, de 1972 et 1975 respectivement, à 1995. Les Bruins de New Westminster furent la première équipe à établir une dynastie, remportant le trophée de 1975 à 1978. En 1982, les Winter Hawks de Portland devinrent la première équipe basée aux États-Unis à mettre la main sur la coupe et par surcroit la première équipe américaine à accéder aux séries éliminatoires de la LHOu. l'année suivante cette même équipe devenait la première à remporter la Coupe Memorial sans avoir remporté au préalable le championnat de sa ligue. Dans les années 1990, les Blazers de Kamloops furent l'équipe dominante du circuit, remportant sept championnats en neuf saisons ainsi que trois coupes Memorial. (fr)

Ponadto poprzednia nazwa była tożsama z trofeum Coupe du Président w lidze LHJMQ. Rywalizacja o Puchar toczy się pomiędzy zwycięzcami Konferencji wschodniej i zachodniej ligi, zaś triumfator jest jednym z czterech uczestników walki o Memorial Cup. (pl)
