- Durbar Square, which means Royal Squares in English, is the generic name used to describe plazas and areas opposite the old royal palaces in Nepal. The name comes from Persian دربار (Darbar). It consists of temples, idols, open courts, water fountains and more. Before the Unification of Nepal, Nepal consisted of small kingdoms, and Durbar Squares are most prominent remnants of those old kingdoms in Nepal. In particular, three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu Valley, belonging to the three Newar kingdoms situated there before unification, are most famous: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. All three are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.These sites have received significant damage due to the devastating earthquake of 2015 but most structures still remain. (en)
- Place du Darbâr (en anglais : Durbar Square) est le nom générique utilisé pour décrire les places centrales des anciennes villes royales du Népal. Ce nom fait référence au darbâr, l'audience publique accordée par les souverains dans le monde indien. Ces places se composent de temples et diverses représentations religieuses ou spirituelles. Avant l'Unification du Népal en 1768, le pays se composait de petits royaumes, et les places dénommées Place du Darbâr constituent d'importants vestiges de ces anciens royaumes. En particulier, trois places du Darbâr existent dans la Vallée de Katmandou, appartenant à trois anciens royaumes Newar (elles sont toutes les trois classées Sites du Patrimoine Mondial de l'UNESCO) :

- Piazza Durbar è il nome generico utilizzato per le piazze e le aree opposte al palazzo reale in Nepal: difatti Durbar significa palazzo. Essa consiste in templi, idoli, corti aperte, fontane e altro. Prima dell'unificazione del Nepal vi erano piccoli regni e la piazza Durbar era il luogo più importante. In particolare tre piazze nella valle di Kathmandu in corrispondenza dei tre regni: piazza Durbar a Kathmandu, a Bhaktapur e a Patan. Tutte e tre le piazze sono patrimonio UNESCO. (it)
- 더르바르 광장은 네팔의 광장이다. 카트만두(카트만두 더르바르 광장), 파탄(랄릿푸르, 파탄 더르바르 광장), 박타푸르(박타푸르 더르바르 광장)에 위치한 광장이 제일 유명하다. 카트만두에 있는 더르바르 광장은 시내 중심에 위치하고 있으며 고대 네팔 왕궁이 이곳에 있어 허누만 도카 궁전광장이라고 불리기도 한다. 허누만은 원숭이 신을 의미하는데 궁전의 중앙 입구 오른편에 붉은 칠을 한 원숭이 석상이 있다. 원숭이 신은 더르바르 광장의 수호신 역할을 하고 있는데, 지금도 많은 힌두교인이 찾고 있다. 더르바르 광장은 옛 왕궁 외에도 살아있는 신이라고 불리는 꾸마리가 살고 있는 곳으로도 유명하다. - Een Durbar-plein in Nepal is de algemene naam gebruikt om pleinen en zones te beschrijven tegenover de oude koninklijke paleizen van Nepal. Op zo'n pleinen bevinden zich tempels, godenbeelden, fonteinen en meer. Voor de eenmaking van Nepal, bestond het land uit kleine koninkrijken, en Durbar-pleinen zijn de meest prominente overblijfsels van die oude koninkrijken in Nepal. In het bijzonder zijn de drie Durbar-pleinen in de Kathmandu-vallei, die behoorden tot de drie Newah-koninkrijken die vóór de eenmaking daar gelegen waren, de meest bekende: het Durbar-plein van Kathmandu, het Durbar-plein van Patan en het Durbar-plein van Bhaktapur. Antes da unificação do Nepal, o Nepal consistia de pequenos reinos, e as praça Darbar são os remanescentes mais proeminentes desses antigos reinos do Nepal. Em particular, três praças Darbar no Vale de Catmandu, pertencentes aos três reinos situados lá antes da unificação, sendo as mais famosa: a Praça Darbar em Catmandu, a Praça Darbar em Patan, e a Praça Darbar em Bhaktapur.
