After 28 matches, closing towards the end of the season, Rockdale Ilinden were named premiers on 18 August, the club's first major title in over four decades.[1] During the campaign, Western Sydney Wanderers were sanctioned for alleged breaches in relation to "several incidents on 5 and 11 May" according to Football NSW. The Wanderers were fined AU$33,500, deducted six points and given 'restricted access' for away supporters.[2]
