It should come as no surprise that I am a complete a total clothes horse. I love all of it. The play that comes with getting dressed, the creativity and expression—the melding of textures. So of course, I like a good accessory as well. That much is well documented. But it says a lot when I stop rotating my handbags when I go out of the house. I'm a bag bundler, so I like to carry a tote and a smaller handbag on my shoulder for my everday, and for a while there I swapped on the reg. But then I took my Cuyana Celestia out of the closet once we hit the first day of fall, and well, it hasn't gone back in since.

Women's Celestia Shoulder Bag in Mocha

Let me say first, this is the perfect croissant bag. It is a little over a foot wide and about eight inches in height, so it's both not too big, but still sizable enough that you can fit a bunch in your purse without warping it or having it look wonky. I'm talking a makeup bag, sunglasses, keys, mints, and it doesn't look stuffed to the brim. And the leather? The most buttery soft, I-can't-stop-touching-it lambskin. You can feel the quality in your hands.

Then, for my version, there's the hue. The mocha colorway is a deep, rich brown. It's luxe and has a sheen to it, and as a result it works from day to night. I can't tell you how many people have stopped me in the street—so lets just say it's dozens at this point—to ask where I got it. And the hardware? It's the perfect embellishment for a sculptural piece. The shape also isn't overly trend specific, even though it is a croissant bag. It feels like something that will look just as fab once the trend fades.

If you spot me out in the wild, it's almost guaranteed I'm toting the Celestia on my shoulder.
