Now that we are done with the Onam festivities with the all-veg spread, let’s get ready for Thakkaram, a two-day pop-up at The Glass House, the progressive Indian Kitchen and Bar at Jubilee Hills. Thakkaram means a feast cooked for guests in the Malabar region of Kerala. This special pop-up features a curated tasting menu comprising 16 dishes. The feast is prepared by home chefs who have come to Hyderabad from Kannur in the Malabar region.

Thakkaram will showcase Malabar’s richness with their special, hand-rolled dishes like a wide selection of pathiri, chammandi, unnakaya, ela ada, porotta, and samosas.

Then there is the super famous Malabar biryani; it stands out because of its subtle flavour, and is served with  papadum and a date pickle.

The menu also includes pazham pori, mutton stew, porotta with chicken kakkattil, Sulaimani tea, and much more. This feast is a celebration of the rich flavors of Malabar cuisine, priced at ₹2150 (plus taxes).

Thakkaram is available for lunch and dinner on September 19 and 20 at The Glass House, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.
