Visually impaired students often face significant challenges in their educational journeys, struggling with access to resources and the means to study effectively. Recognizing this, Dishari, the DC CSR group from Kolkata, decided to support these young learners to overcome this challenge. After visiting a school for visually impaired students, our volunteers witnessed firsthand the hurdles they faced. Realizing that older students were burdened by reading Braille books, which is a time-consuming process, our volunteers helped provide a solution that would cater to the specific needs of these children. With the support of #InfosysFoundation, audio kits equipped with recording features, earphones, and memory cards to students from classes 6 to 12. These kits empower students to record their in-person classes and learn the necessary study material downloaded by the school staff, providing students the opportunity to learn independently. With the press of a button, they can access educational resources without the laborious process of Braille reading, giving them more freedom and flexibility. A total of 110 students were benefitted. Through this initiative, our volunteers are striving to fulfil the Foundation’s aim of ensuring quality and accessible education for all. #InfosysCSR | #Accessibility | #Inclusion | #Education | #Technology | #SocialImpact
