Love this! January is all about attending to our mindset and habits. Statistics tell us that we do NOT keep the majority of our New Year's resolutions. Why is that? Most resolutions focus on our wealth and health. These sorts of resolutions are about making small investments today and waiting for returns that may not occur for decades. People naturally struggle with these sorts of delayed benefits. A consistent, repeatable decision process, supported by technology is a great way to keep our important commitments. Making mistakes is important! They’re not just part of being human, they’re a big part of learning and growing. It reminds me of Alexander Fleming's accidental discovery of Penicillin; without that mistake, millions of lives wouldn't have been saved. I often think about this when I give talks. → It's not just about what we do, → but how we think about it. Asking 'is this the best way?' often leads us to new, innovative paths. At Thursday, our approach is built on transparency and collaboration. When working with clients, we view mistakes not as setbacks, but as opportunities for learning and growth – together. This mutual trust and guidance pave the way for brands to achieve long-term impact. Honest exchanges. Adapting and learning from those ‘oops’ moments. That creates something important. Something beautiful. (Something we otherwise might have missed!)

Today is my 1 year anniversary at Growth... That's wild! Even crazier is how my relationship with the company has evolved over time! It went kind of like this 👇 3.5+ years ago: I was looking for a firm that could help me set up the right systems and develop a great strategy for the fleet-software start up I was running here in the USA 1.5 years ago (when the pic was taken): Although the work done by Growth was incredible, internal issues between my start up's owners had led that venture to fail. I was a bit lost and looking for direction from my mentor and friend, Christopher Nault and hanging out with the Growth team (shout out William (Will) Davidson and Katrina Horne). 1 year ago: I was offered to join Growth as a BDR intern. I had a lot to learn but I was excited to work with a team I loved, and with a final product I believed in. 2.5 months ago: I was given the opportunity to become Growth's Brand & Community Manager and spearhead our new community-led strategy. I was much more confident in my abilities, I had fallen in love with being a LinkedIn content creator, and I was hungry for more growth. Today: I have been working on the community manager for almost 3 months, we're making great progress, soon we will be doing our official launch. I was able to find an opportunity for a friend of mine to join me at Growth, he has been performing amazingly, and it's given me more opportunity to be a leader, which is a great part of my life mission. I couldn't be happier with where my journey has led me up until now. Joining this team has been one of the best decision I've made, the things I have learned and the people I have met alone are priceless to me. There are 3 very important values I learned from working at Growth which have helped me make good progress over time, those are: 🌲 Having a growth mindset 🌲 Focusing on progress over perfection 🌲 Striving to be authentic in every interaction I have There is a lot of work ahead of us, and I couldn't be more excited to put me head down and get it done alongside our awesome team! As the leader of a rapidly growing service business, I sometimes find myself overwhelmed, stressed out, and struggling to find motivation... I ask myself questions like: -Why am I doing this? -Are we taking on too much too quickly? -Are we growing too fast? -What if our quality slips? -What if I'm not a good enough leader? And then I sit down and start talking to someone like Miguel who joined our company, K&D Landscaping, Inc. in hopes of a better life, more opportunity, and a change from the typical "old-school" landscape company that pushes their employees to the brink with little chance of self-development and advancement. I then realize this mission is so much bigger than me and the opportunities we are creating are impacting countless people. The mission to Raise The Bar is in full effect and we are not slowing down 🚀
