Yesterday, I had the distinct honor of attending the graduation of a group of hard-working and inspiring students. It all began two years ago, just a week into my relocation to Israel, when I heard about Melochtum, an organization dedicated to empowering the Chareidi community by equipping them with marketable skills such as accounting, construction, architecture, and more. Having just joined Project Nimbus, an Israeli government initiative to migrate its institutions to the cloud, I imagined that Israel—often referred to as the "Startup Nation"—would need a new pool of talent to support such a large project. After meeting with representatives from various communities, we decided to launch a course in AWS Cloud DevOps, believing it would be a great entry point into the high-tech industry for the Chareidi community. I witnessed a group of highly motivated students—people with jobs and families—who, for an entire year, attended 3-hour classes, three nights a week, on top of completing their homework. Their dedication gave me a renewed sense of energy to raise the bar and take this program to even greater heights. I look forward with excitement to their contributions to Israel’s high-tech scene, as I have no doubt that this driven group will succeed. I’m equally excited to witness the long-term impact on the Chareidi community as they realize their potential, and on the broader Israeli community as they recognize the untapped talent in front of them. I wish these students the best of luck as they embark on this exciting new chapter, confident that they will leave a lasting mark on both the high-tech industry and their communities. #StartupNation #AWSCloud #DevOps #HighTechIsrael #UnlockPotential
