Neptune Terminals in Vancouver is the final Canadian stop in Canpotex’s supply chain for delivering potash from mines in Saskatchewan to overseas customers. Neptune is the most important terminal in the Canpotex supply chain and is the largest potash-handling terminal in the world. Approximately 70% of Canpotex potash is loaded onto vessels at Neptune! Our #CanpotexFMP2024 participants had the chance to visit the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, which is the most important port for Canadian potash exports. Vancouver is strategically located as the closest port to our shareholders’ mines in #Saskatchewan, and also the shortest sailing distance to important markets in Asia. Canpotex is one of the largest users of the port, and nearly 150 jobs at the port are dependent on Canpotex’s exports. As part of the Canpotex #FertilizerManagementProgram, participants had a tremendously informative day visiting one of our shareholders, The Mosaic Company, at their Belle Plaine site. Solution mining is the most effective way of accessing potash reserves below 3,600 feet.  Fun fact – Mosaic’s Belle Plaine facility is the largest potash solution mine in the world and pioneered its unique solution mining techniques!   While educating participants on different methods of Saskatchewan potash mining practices, it was an exciting opportunity to tour the solution mine and better understand potash grades.   Off to Calgary for the next segment of the #CanpotexFMP2024!   #Fertilizer #Mosaic #HelpingTheWorldGrowMoreFood #FromMineToTable

All aboard to Lanigan, Saskatchewan for the #CanpotexFMP2024 railcar session! 🚂 We visited the Canpotex Railcar Maintenance Facility to show attendees the importance of rail transportation in our supply chain. At this site, we maintain Canpotex’s fleet of 8,000 Canadian-built railcars that were specifically designed for the weight and density of potash. These railcars allow us to run some of the longest trains in North America. This facility provides Canpotex railcars with all-weather inspection, repair and maintenance, automated railcar wash, wheel repairs and replacement, and on-site railcar storage and switching.
