The simple practice of recording your progress helps you to appreciate your small wins which in turn boosts your sense of confidence. "Through exhaustive analysis of diaries kept by knowledge workers, we discovered the progress principle: Of all the things that can boost emotions, motivation, and perceptions during a workday, the single most important is making progress in meaningful work." - Teresa Amabile When working with clients, I call this The 1% Rule: Simply try to get 1% better today, and watch those gains compound and grow over time. Don't forget to celebrate the small wins along the way.
