I can't remember how many times I used streaming video platforms as a problem statement for information architecture, but I was very excited today to see that Netflix has a Characters section in addition to genres and other typical movie/TV categories, at least on a kid profile. Or, maybe I should say that my toddler was excited. She doesn't care about new releases, family favorites, or any other category. She just wants to see a very specific unicorn whose series neither of us can remember by name and now we don't have to. (I don't know if this is a new or old feature. How to Get Your Film on Amazon Prime and Apple TV (TVOD) Filmmaker, it's no biggie. Find yourself an aggregator to encode your film and distribute it to every platform on demand. There are a few good ones out there. Make sure you get a nice deal (it will never be too nice for the filmmaker), and most importantly, do some ads to get your project seen. I'd recommend Encripta or Sofa Digital, they are very cool (LATAM). Selling your film to a streaming platform is another journey and is a little harder, as you need to convince the acquisitions person or crew to license your film (you can find them online but you'll have a better shot in film/tv markets). Indie style takes longer, but usually, going with a distributor can save some time, if you want to keep pushing DIY, keep the title available to buy/rent until you get a chance to go SVOD and reach a bigger audience. Remember: it matters to have an easy place/platform for a future collaborator to see your stuff in a comfy way. PS: a nice deal (reasonable) would range from 15 - 25% when you self-distribute but it won’t come as easy. If you collab with a distributor you’ll have the distributor cut plus the aggregator. After that the platform will also eat half, just like the cinema chain when you go theatrical. At the end of the day you’ll hardly see 30% for yourself.

With the launch of #fallout, Prime Video & Amazon Studios has joined the race for unlimited audience energy in the US; a race that - up until now - has been dominated by Netflix. Fallout's opening numbers in the US place it alongside Squid Game and The Night Agent, except as Alan Wolk and Evan Shapīro have mentioned, this viewing boom isn't just a ratings record, it's accompanied by a significant volume of ad impressions - not just in the States but around the globe. To truly understand the performance of what could become the most successful videogame adaptation of all time, it's important to look out for completion metrics and the rate of content decay. Historically, Digital i has seen that dropping all the episodes at once increases completion rate but shortens content lifecycle. Will Fallout follow in the steps of #squidgame and continue to snowball as word-of-mouth and pr encourages more viewers to engage with the show? Dear Netflix , This is inform you that we love you. And you become the parameter for every OTT in the world. Your innovation, ideas, blogs, etc are followed by many companies. We always heard about the story of Netflix with Blockbuster. However, I would like highlight that please dont be overconfident about your technology and success. Because recently while watching a movie found a severe issue. Issue is - movie length showing shorter as compare to original length. And even it finished the movie in between because of the issue and start showing new option or continue movie. Moreover, you cannot use forward because length is completed. And after sometime (let’s say 5 min) if you try to do backward for 10 sec, it leads to 5 min backward. Attaching video for reference.
