The architecture supports integrating multiple data sources, including high-dimensional molecular data, clinical data captured in case report forms, biospecimens into an easily query-able common data repository. -

We are developing predictive modeling tools for identifying CKD patients who's trajectories suggest they are at risk for end-stage renal disease. Our aim is to use these models to stratify patients who require specialty care and better manage this population of chronically ill patients.

In conjunction with co-PI's Christopher Mantyh & Julie Thacker (Surgery), and Katherine Heller (Statistical Sciences) we are building an analytic and deployment platform for learning about our surgical patients via the EHR, deploying predictive models that enhance clinical decision making, and operationalizing interventions that will optimize outcomes. Funded by the Duke Institute for Health Innovations.
