We’re proud to announce that Midtown-Metro Achievement Centers has been named one of Crain's Chicago Business Best Places to Work in Chicago, ranking #33, and notably the top-ranked nonprofit! 🎉 This recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects both our workplace policies and the feedback from our amazing team, who participated in a confidential survey evaluating their experience and our culture. The survey, conducted by Workforce Research Group, factored in our policies (20% of the overall score) and employee feedback (80%). We're honored to be part of this list alongside other organizations making a difference in Chicago! Thank you to our entire team for helping us create such a positive and impactful work environment! #CrainsBestPlacestoWork #ChicagoNonprofit #CrainsChicago

Please join us in thanking and saying "so long for now" to, Pedro J. Caranti. Pedro has led and served our Midtown Achievement Center with distinction since 2020 and is now off to pursue Theological studies at Pontificia Università della Santa Croce in Rome, Italy next month. (Lead Photo: We were able to send him off with a Tex-Mex/Argentian feast with some fellow staff and volunteers last night, including sharing some of our favorite memories and stories of Pedro) #employeeappreciation #lastday #backtoschool #graduatestudies

We owe a BIG thank you to Jackson. Our Midtown & Metro high school Business Apprenticeship students had an incredible experience visiting their Chicago offices last week in one of our final field trips of the summer. Over 14 members from both the Jackson National Asset Management, LLC and PPM America, Inc. teams engaged with our students through tours, a lunch & learn, and fun games and discussions about the world of asset management and corporate investments. Individual employees shared their college and career paths, including Midtown alum and Jackson employee, Jose Contreras. A special thank you to Rylee Murray (she/her), Francisco Varela Jr., and Katie Schmitz for their exceptional support in organizing this event. Your dedication to inspiring the next generation of diverse professionals is truly appreciated! #CareerExploration #afterschoolprogram #chicagononprofit #corporatephilanthropy #AssetManagement #csr

We had an incredible DISCOVER Law Day at Midtown, thanks to the amazing team from Discover Financial Services and Burr & Forman LLP! Special thanks to Hunter DeBerry, Jennifer Dyer, Bruce Marshak, Ciara Alison Konteh, Jack Scribner, David Elliott, Jacqueline Simms-Petredis, Alana Collins, and Rachel Roth for inspiring our boys with their insights into the law profession and various career paths. The highlight of the day was a mock trial on Students for Fair Admission vs. Harvard. Our students took on the roles of SFFA, Harvard, and the Supreme Court, engaging deeply with the case and learning valuable skills in the process. Thank you to everyone who made this day a memorable and educational experience! #ChicagoNonprofit #Discover
