At this week's GO Virginia State Board Retreat, a panel of experts discussed how GO TEC® Virginia is transforming talent pathways for middle school students across the state. The program’s hands-on modules in areas like robotics, welding, IT and manufacturing engineering will serve 9,000+ students across 52 schools this academic year. The panel included: Dr. Julie Brown (IALR), Linda Green (IALR and Southern Virginia Regional Alliance) and Dr. Mark Jones (Pittsylvania County Schools). Brown summarized, "GO TEC gets students excited about these career opportunities. "This is good for young people and good for Virginia."
