“Is your cup full?” - Jerry Carley, Benedictine —- What a fantastic experience this week seeing organizational leadership development in action. The Benedictine team put on one of the most fun and engaging conferences I’ve experienced while inspiring their leaders to learn new skills, celebrate accomplishments and connect across their five state area. Highlights: ✅meeting so many people from the region doing important work for older adults in their communities, from Dickinson, to Wahpeton, Cold Spring to Shakopee and so much more. ✅Kathleen Murray, Tamara (Czapiewski) Bargren, and team were 💯‼️ ✅ Adam Markel, seeing his keynote and then having lunch together. #resiliency #serendipity ✅ workshopping the next iteration of my work on well-being, social health, networking, growth, and happiness. The whole experience made me reflect on Jill Suttie’s The Greater Good Science Center Big Idea post this week - re: Lorraine Besser’s new book on psychological richness as a source of well-being. “Pursuing what’s interesting to you can enrich your life beyond happiness and meaning, benefitting not just you, but society at large.” I believe if you do interesting things with others and live a great story, you encourage and inspire others to live their own great story. Thanks to everyone that inspired me this week! #socialimpact #wellbeing #socialhealth #networking #leadership #development #innovation #olderadults #community And a trip to Duluth is always a good thing!

Each year, Benedictine honors a community leader for their commitment to the Benedictine Mission and Core Values while serving on a board. For 2024, the Board Member of the Year Award honors an individual whose exceptional dedication and contributions to her community’s foundation made her exemplary leader.
