What's the best movie you've seen with a non-linear narrative?
A food-for-thought movie is kinda mind-opening film. Mostly, with a non-linear narrative. The adjectives describe films you would, by the end of them, find yourself really thinking about something in them. Let's say a dense movie - one that may require you to think hard and long about the plot, the characters, etc. NB that very often the term is used in a derogatory way. Sometimes the film wasn't dense per se, it just dug deeper on something. Example: some ridiculously dense & pretentious movie that flirts with the idea of battlerap itself, alike contradictions where spectators trade doubts in some competitive setting. We're talking the type of film that you have to get your brain working, with a central theme that escapes everyday life, involves entropy and/or quantum physics, kinda serious type that frequently tackles issues head-on, either social or mental.

: LIMITE ('31), which is Portuguese for “limit” or “border,” is often considered the greatest Brazilian-made film of all time. This two-hour experimental silent was written and directed by Mário Peixoto, the only film he ever made. - DirectorHarry RoitmanReinaldo Moreira MarquesThis work intrigued Brazilian critics and cinéphiles, who puzzled over exactly what kind of complicated concoction they had before them. Audiences were typically dazzled and reactions ranged from ecstasy to hostility. The so-to-say plot is rather abstract. The title 'Cycle' refers to the changing moods with actors and outdoor sceneries. No studio takes.
