- The adventures of the riders of the Pony Express.
- A bounty hunter searches the west for a wanted outlaw named Red Roundtree.
- Eddie Mazda is a hard nosed private eye who gets in too close to the mob and is forced to leave Jersey City. He decides to open up shop in Hawaii. In no time, he finds a business, a partner, and lands the biggest case on the island: the murder of a land developer. With every step he takes getting close to the murder, he learns more about how the rich betray each other and how personal the murder is.

Were the Sioux really responsible for the massacre or is someone trying to set up the tribe?
- Teaspoon draws the assignment of rebuilding a way station destroyed by renegades. He and the riders relocate to Rock Creek, a new territory for them to make their way in, getting to know the new neighbors.
- Noah and Cody have the unusual task of escorting a tiger, two nuns and Elizabeth, a novice. Cody falls for Elizabeth, tries to disuade her from taking vows while they fight off hunters wanting a tiger hide. Jesse gets a crush on Louise.

- The Kid brings in suspected horse thief Dyson to Sheriff Lambert but the prisoner dies in custody. Lambert, who's extorting the town's citizens, finds himself up against the dead man's family and the other riders when the truth comes out.

- At a town celebration, Buck falls for the daughter of an ambitious banker, but her motives in the relationship are questionable. Meanwhile, the Riders help a desperate woman whose husband was killed by the banker's henchmen, and they investigate accusations of illegal claim jumping.
- Rachel's ex, (William Russ), a riverboat gunman, plans to leave their precocious 9 year old in her care.
- Buck encounters Camille, about to wed Bill Barlow, who he left behind when they ran across buffalo hunters. She was Little Feather then and when she seems possessed Buck takes her to find a Native American healer to heal her.
- Hickok learns he has a doppelganger using his identity and with Teaspoon's help works to expose him. Cody thinks he's cursed so Buck tells him of a ritual that will cure him.
