From Cires-les-Mello (Oise) to Rebreuviette (Pas-de-Calais)

The GR®124, stretching 222 km, begins in the scenic Thérain Valley, passing through the picturesque Hez-Froidmont Forest and the Brêche Valley. The hike continues along the serene Noye Valley and then the Avre. Eventually, it reaches the Somme Valley, home to Amiens, renowned for its majestic Notre-Dame Cathedral, one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in France. The Hortillonnages, floating gardens on canals cultivated for centuries, provide an idyllic setting for a boat trip. Each year, the International Garden Festival showcases contemporary creations, drawing visitors from around the globe. Another tradition worth discovering in Amiens is the water market, where local producers sell their goods directly from their boats, perpetuating a centuries-old custom.
