Quentin Tarantino enjoys films like this—violence, erotica bordering on porn, tough guys, sand, weapons, and all that honor stuff. That’s probably why he decided to produce Hell Ride, which fell flat within the first few minutes. The story lacks any sense of community and unnecessarily revolves around a huge number of characters, with only two or three being truly important. The dialogues are genuinely atrocious, and at times, I found myself wondering why the hell these people are saying such things. It makes no sense at all. Choosing attractive women and a few familiar names is certainly not a guarantee of success. The film is boring because there’s minimal action. It imitates Tarantino, or rather steals from him, but it falls to a much lower level. The best part of the film is the poster.
