Ultimately a below-average film. Billy Bob plays a character here that he has reprised several times, albeit under different names and in other films. Just a tough guy who's clear about everything and can't stand losers. It's all about a guy who wants to get a girl by acting like a complete asshole. And then comes the magic! It works! Unfortunate. You just can't watch the same thing for the hundredth time...

An average film saved by a perfect choice of actors. I was really entertained by this film. And as someone here said: Good nostalgia... so what, I'll give it 4 stars.

Despite the negative criticisms and rumors that it is a flop, I gave Billy Bob Thornton's School for Scoundrels a chance and I was rewarded with excellent comedy, which made me cry with laughter. The ending is a bit predictable and too Hollywood-like, but the overall impression is four stars. And Michael Clarke Duncan as the seduction teacher's assistant is absolutely perfect :)
