First of all, I need to say that this is not your standard Scandinavian five-star depressing flick. You see, this film does not shock with its ending – the shocking part comes at the very start. So, the first shock leads mainly to the creation of a depressing atmosphere that is present in the film until its very end. And since the ending is a bit more positive than a Scandinavian movie aficionado would even think, I have no other option than give it a very solid three-star review. By the way, Mikael and Iben deserve a good review as well – they put in some great acting performances. However, in terms of the story, somebody wanted to tackle a Scandinavian drama from a slightly different perspective and I have to admit that I prefer the usual Scandinavian movies. Despite all that.. this is still a very decent drama. ()
