Based on a true story, the film is set post-World War II and will star Ben Foster as Harry Haft, a boxer who fought fellow prisoners in the concentration camps to survive. Haunted by the memories and his guilt, he attempts to use high-profile fights against boxing legends like Rocky Marciano as a way to find his first love again. (HBO Max)

Barry Levinson has created a drama that blends boxing with World War II. Unfortunately, you can’t help but feel that both themes have been portrayed more compellingly in countless other films. The concentration camp scenes are solid, but there are far too few to really capture your attention. The rest of the film is mostly a bore. ()
