English A very good story, but not at all suited to a very long runtime. It's very evident here that Takashi Miike wants to make every film an experience that lasts almost two hours. It's too much here. The scenes involving violence are incredibly heavy, and the overall tone of the film is depressing, which it was meant to be. It's just a shame that these feelings get diluted. The film would have been more impactful. ()
