Personally, I don't really like historical films, so I didn't really enjoy this one, and I have to admit that what I did like was how Albert Finney handled the titular character. It makes the film lively, brisk, and quite entertaining. It’s all the more surprising to see that the film got an Oscar, but not for its lead actor, who was indeed the driving force. ()
