English Sometimes you wouldn't think that such an underrated underdog would turn out to be a pretty good thing. 7500 pushes the envelope from the start, and after introducing the characters, it's straight to the kidnapping. The terrorists' plan is clear, and the pilot's quest for survival from his point of view is even clearer. The cockpit-only camerawork worked well, the shots were clean, the action clear and the tension intense as hell. In fact, the entire film stands purely on the performance of Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who made my heart leap out of my body almost the entire time, and for that I applaud him. And yeah even though it's a B-movie and had maybe 20 minutes of weaker talking points, I did sweat a lot and it's definitely worth a weaker four stars. Experts will complain, but if you watch the film with headphones, empathise with the pilot and pay attention, you'll find that there's some decent quality hiding in there. ()
