The Chief Titan of Titánia, who has reigned for more than twenty years by now, is dying. Beside his death bed stand his wife, Angelika, his young General and his Secretary, who still execute all his crazy orders. On the television the Chief Titan can still be seen in his full power as he is celebrated by his people for the wise actions he takes. The Chief Titan is suddenly killed in his bed by a stroke. Angelika calls for the three doubles and thanks them for their devoted work. The doubles know: they have to die. They flee during the night, the three in three different directions. At the end they all get back to the capital. The ones, who count as potential successors, as the Actor and the Robber, will be shot. The lower class Horseman survives the encounter with Power, and he signals at the funeral by the cock's call: it is dawning. (official distributor synopsis)
